I’ve always loved learning—especially when it comes to technology and software. I’m fascinated by how the two combined can solve problems, improve workflows, and support business growth.
I’ve attended A LOT of training in my professional career AND time and again, I found myself leaving training sessions feeling bored, frustrated, or even at times angry - not because the subject matter was bad, but because the learning experience failed to deliver real value.
Some instructors deeply understood their field but struggled to guide participants through the learning process in a clear and engaging way. Others could hold attention but relied too heavily on slides, filler content, or generic activities that didn’t lead to meaningful application.
That experience shaped the way I approach workshop design and facilitation today.
As a former cybersecurity professional turned learning strategist, I help experts and organizations build workshops that bring participant engagement and retention. These workshops are sequenced for flow and delievered for maximum engagement; thus the higher likelihood that retention will occur. My focus is on creating learning experiences that encourage participation and help people apply what they learn in real-world environments.

When I first started teaching at Methodist University, I shared a classroom with two other instructors. Over a 16-week semester, my students began leaving cat doodles on the dry erase board—starting with one and eventually filling the space with more than 35 creations, from "Cowboy Kitty" to "Faculty Kitty." I took a picture because I knew I never wanted to forget my students and how extremely special they were. Those doodles weren't just drawings—they were proof that learning could be joyful, personal, and connected.
I founded Creative Cat Training & Design Co. to honor those students and every student who ever felt unseen or struggled with an instructor they couldn't connect with. This company is their legacy—a reflection of their strength, creativity, and resilience. Through the ElevatED Instructor System, I now help experts and organizations bring that same energy and connection into the training classroom so that every participant feels supported, gains confidence with new condepts and sees how to bring those skills to their work environment.
