For more than 15 years, I’ve been teaching and building technical courses in Cybersecurity, Technology, and Digital Forensics. My students have gone on to earn certifications, launch careers, and step into lucrative roles in IT and beyond. Along the way, I’ve learned something important: knowing your subject isn’t the same as knowing how to teach it.
That realization is what sparked the creation of ElevatED.
I’ve seen brilliant subject matter experts, passionate coaches, and even career educators step into the classroom without the tools they need to succeed. They know their material, but they struggle with structure, delivery, and engagement. And schools often don’t have the resources to fully train their instructors in teaching skills.
That's why I created the ElevatED Training Program.
I believe teaching should be clear, engaging, and aligned with both student and institutional goals. My mission is to equip instructors with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in the classroom or online.
It's why I designed ElevatED: to serve both individual instructors and institutions.
I want to help non-teachers become confident instructors and to support schools in building stronger, more effective faculty – so that students not only learn but they are able to pass certification and state exams so they can secure careers in industry.

I Am A Huge Proponent of Student Success. Creative Cat Was Founded to Honor All of Those that I have been Privileged To Teach.
When I first started teaching at Methodist University, I shared a classroom with two other instructors. Over a 16-week semester, my students began leaving cat doodles on the dry erase board — starting with one and eventually filling the space with more than 35 creations, from “Cowboy Kitty” to “Faculty Kitty.” I took a picture because I knew I never wanted to forget my students and how extremely special they were. Those doodles weren’t just drawings — they were proof that learning could be joyful, personal, and connected.
I founded Creative Cat Training & Design to honor those students and every student who ever felt unseen or struggled with an instructor they couldn’t connect with. This company is their legacy — a reflection of their strength, creativity, and resilience. Through the ElevatED Training Program, I now help schools and instructors bring that same energy and connection into the classroom so every student feels supported, learns with confidence, and sees a path forward to success.
