Combining Two Distinct Brands with Accompanying Websites into One Cohesive Brand & Website
Ezra Adventures had two separate websites—one for the personal brand of founder Doug Hershey and one for his travel company, Ezra Adventures. Each had overlapping content, but separation made it difficult for visitors to understand the full scope of his work. The client needed a unified website that blended both brands seamlessly, maintained brand consistency, and clearly communicated the offerings without losing the unique identity of each.
The client had already an established brand through a visual book series that he had created entitled Ancient Prophecy / Modern Lens series. From this, I decided to carry that brand from his book series over visually to his site. I matched colors and fonts and standardized their use throughout the pages and the products of his site.
Both existing websites were reviewed to identify overlapping content and gaps. A detailed client interview was conducted to gather business goals, desired features, and brand voice, which was documented for use in all copywriting. A site plan was developed to merge content, add pages for the client’s speaker/teacher roles, and showcase products and custom Israel trips.
The site framework, blog, and product pages were built on the Podia platform. Brand consistency was ensured through the use of unified colors, fonts, and imagery. E-commerce functionality, email integrations, opt-in forms, and SEO best practices were implemented across all pages.
After the website was developed, we tested the site for functionality, responsiveness, and user experience across all device types. We ensured all links, forms, and product purchase paths worked seamlessly before launching. The final review with the client confirmed that the site successfully represented both brands as one cohesive identity and provided a seamless user experience.
The new Ezra Adventures website presents a unified, professional brand that blends the personal and company identities seamlessly. Visitors can now easily navigate between trip offerings, courses, books, and media appearances while experiencing a consistent voice and design style. The site has streamlined the client’s marketing efforts, strengthened his online presence, and provided a platform that fully supports e-commerce, course hosting, content publishing, and brand storytelling.
